Meet the Members
Em Lucker
Vocals & Keys

Born in Santa Fe, New Mexico and
raised on the front range in
Colorado, Em grew up in a melting
pot of music and culture. From the
Serbian music she sang at an
Orthodox church with her mom, to
the psychedelic rock of the 70s she learned from her dad, she developed a love for many kinds of music. She began playing piano and singing shortly after being exposed to Hannah Montana and hasn’t stopped since. Her bold vocals have caught the attention of many aiding in Moonbeem’s unique sound.

Moving to Grand Junction in 2021 for the CMU radiology program, Em joine the marching band and met Nick on the cymbal line. From there, the two moved on to cultivate a life outside of the music, full of adventure and excitement.

Nick Walvogle
Drums

From hiding in the library during lunch to making rap beats with his friends during middle school, to helping found MoonBeem with bassist Liam Monroe, Nick Waldvogle has been playing music since he was 10 years old. A background in music production has allowed him to become that band's producer and engineer, as well as their drummer due to his immense jazz and commercial experience through high school and college. Now, Nick embraces his role with Moonbeem and looks forward to the future of making music with his friends.

Nick plays a Gretsch Catalina Club 14" drumset. On the right he uses a Zildjian 14" K Custom Crash and a Sabian 22" HH Orchestral ride. On the left, Nick opts for the Meinl 14" Pure Alloy hi hats.

Nick also enjoys his moments away from the music. Moving to Grand Junction in August of 2020 for a promising career in music education, Nick was lucky enough to meet some of his best friends through the marching band.
There, he met Em Lucker.

And of course, Nick's pirde and joy: his cat Jasper.

Liam Monroe
Bass

Originally born in the state of New
York and moving around across the
country, Liam Monroe was exposed
to a wide spectrum of people and
music. A while into his journey of
learning as many instruments as
possible, he picked up the bass and knew that he would perform. He moved to study music in Grand Junction, and founded Moonbeem to take the stage and to share his passion of music with the world. His range of experience writing and performing music is a major factor in his role in the creative direction of the band.

Liam uses a Fender Squier CV J Fretless Bass with a Fender Rumble 350 Amplifier to achieve his signature tone, blending traditional upright smoothness of his jazz background with the precision of the electric age.
